Walking Tour with Local High School Students

An English guided tour of the Ueno Senior High School Meiji-era School Building and Iga Ueno Castle will be held by students from the Mie Prefectural Ueno Senior High School.

ITINERARY
①Ueno Senior High School Meiji-era School Building
 Originally constructed in 1900. It is extremely rare for a school building from the time of its establishment to remain intact, and it is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Mie Prefecture. As this building is not normally open to the public, this is a special opportunity to visit.

②Iga Ueno Castle
 The castle was originally built by Todo Takatora.
Today, the inner moat and stone walls from that time, as well as the castle tower reconstructed in 1935, remain.
It is designated as a City Cultural Property.
