In June, you can see many fireflies fluttering about in the Tomoda District. The faint light emitted by these fireflies creates a soothing and magical atmosphere.

Hotaru no Furusato Park is an observation area surrounded by lush nature in the village of Tanao. The surrounding area is known as Hotaru no Sato (Firefly Village), where, in June, you can see many fireflies fluttering about. In early June, the area bustles with visitors during firefly-viewing week, when a firefly festival and other events are held to entertain people as a mainstay of Iga summer leisure. Tanao Hotaru no Furusato Park also has places to view fireflies.

Hydrangea Garden: More than 5,000 beautiful hydrangeas are planted in this mountaintop garden. Walk along the forest trails flanked by blooming hydrangeas and immerse yourself in the scenery, where you might even encounter some wild deer.

About 1,000 hydrangeas are planted along a 1-kilometer stretch of road heading south from Midoro Bridge. Members of the Minocchi Preservation Society, a volunteer group made up of local residents, have stewarded the area, and now large, colorful flowers bloom there.

Famous for its rows of cherry trees along the Kizu River, Iwakura Gorge is a place where you can see numerous hydrangeas alongside the river, making it a popular spot for a relaxing stroll. (Beware of vehicles, as this is alongside a road)
